“Tiny lights” by Paul Zinder

The tiny lights. Sometimes all the little lights make a difference and we can overcome everything. All the well wishes, all the good vibes, every little wish we drop in a well, every star we wish on and hold in our hearts.

All the wishes that we can dance with, every wish we dream and dream in our minds. Its all the little lights, all the shooting stars, all the dimensions, transcending time and space of our imagination. That leads up to that one moment.

If you look closely, can you see them standing in this picture in all the lights? What is going through their minds, that they made it and overcame so much?

I wish for all the little lights to come my way and maybe one day they will reach that special person too. Then maybe we can overcome and dance in the tiny lights.

I grew up In Detroit MI, I Have also been to over 20 states in The US, Windsor Canada, Nice place . I would say my Favorite States I have visited are Louisville Kentucky , and Colorado Springs Colorado. I also Lived in Korea for 6 years. I was in a lot of places, I was in Combat prefer not to say were. I have lived in The Philippines and Guam , that was after I got out of the army. The army gave me a unique perspective in life, and how great we really have it in life seeing a lot of poor places all over the world. There are some great places in the world also and I learned there are a lot of things America could takes notes for and catch up with. I will never understand why we do not have more speed Trains in America for example. I think it would be great for tourism for example here its safe , fun and easy to use.

“Falling” by Paul Zinder

I am falling for everything. Falling for lost dreams. Falling for you, falling for things of the past, falling for shooting stars, falling for wishing, falling further, and further. Falling in the deep waters of my mind. Falling in a sense of no time. Falling too far too fast physically, mentally and emotionally.

Falling too fast in love, falling too fast out of love for other things. I fall hard for a good story and even harder for a good love story. I wish on falling stars. I wish my dreams would fall into my life for real. Everything is falling apart, sometimes that makes way for new things but when they fall too fast, they never can catch up.

I am falling, I want to fly again… Even in my dreams, I fall. I feel like I can never catch up. If I fall, will you help pick me back up? Is there an angel out there that would help a poor soul to get up from a hard fall? A fall that has me falling in life, in those cracks, in those deep caverns of my dreams? the dark caves that seem to never end and run deep in my soul, my veins, the cobwebs in my heart and brain… Falling sucks… I want to climb out but I don’t know if I will ever have that chance again… ’til then I’ll just fall…

“For her” by Paul Zinder

What do you give the girl that has everything? I think I am onto something. As I learned from my 1950’s dad. You give her your time. You give her a card. You give her flowers at 4 am in the morning before she heads out to work and a massage when she gets home.

You leave letters everywhere, in the fridge, the bathroom, in her shoe if need be. Hide clever things in her purse like a bag of rose petals just to remind her she is alive and loved. Give her a big basket of candy and flowers in the middle of summer for no reason at all.

Let her take your breath away and take away hers. Massage her feet for no reason at all. Make sure she never has to walk in the rain. Spend time in the park, when no one is around and talk it out. Count the stars. Enjoy life with her and embrace the small things.

Remember your first date, then make that a anniversary. One week, month, year then so on, then the first place you eat try to remember it and take her there. See life through her eyes.

See life and enjoy it like it was the first time all over again. Stand on top of a high building with her and both of you make a wish. Take her to a beach and fill it with 1000 candles and put flowers on that beach of all sorts, and write her name in the sand.

Hugs and kisses are needed often. Be the best man you can be at all times. Stand tall for yourself and her through the deepest storms. Send all sails her way, and make the most of every day. Be the kind of man you know you can be. Be that hero, but be a good man above all. Write her poems, paint her a picture, because that’s better than anything you will ever buy her.

Put down that phone, that video game, who cares about that football game and go walk up that nature trail with her cause you never know when you will have time again. Be happy, and love, honor and respect. Realize when she is not happy no one is happy.

If you can’t afford a room of flowers take her to garden in the city, and remind her how special she is. See nature, see the world and ask her opinion on everything cause she likes giving advice. Never give up… Start the car for her at 7 am when there is a foot of snow on the ground so she can get in the car an hour later and it’s nice and warm. Its the simple things that matter.

Believe in love and the magic of those stars cause you will look up to those stars and need them, the funny thing about the stars is they are always there and will guide you if you let them. Dream and show her, her dreams can come true, and help make her dreams come true above all else.

“Brown Eyed Girl in Autumn” by Paul Zinder

As she regales in the Moon light. The wind blows just right. A flicker of the right star light. The leaves blowing. The fall mist moving in. She is wonderful. A dream in a dark night.

She holds the air like nothing I have ever seen. She can dance in those stars like no one. She is the dark shadow of my darkest dreams. Those leaves falling, blowing in the night, it seems like it is all for her. Those lips deviant, her eyes full of passion guessing what I am already thinking.

Her gestures seem to lead me in. I only need to over come all those things, and move for it. Will the moon shine just right? Will the sun come up on time? Will all those magical things come together just in the nick of time? Only time will tell, and my dreams shall wonder till then. I will think of that girl, the Girl of Autumn.

So many factors have to come right, the last time I tried it rained all day, a last will ever happen for me, or any of us. Is love dead like the leaves at the end of Autumn? I hope not.

“Fairy tales of Halloween” by Paul Zinder

What is that giant in the woods? What is that scream we just heard, who is that girl we picked up last night, never to be seen again. They said she had been dead for years when we brought back the things she left in the car.

What was that shadow person we saw in the dark part of the garage out of the corner of our eyes, what is that thing in the bushes with the beady red eyes, what is that banshie that howls in the early hours of the night.

What do we think of when we die? Does death linger over us in those deep dark hours of the coldest of nights. Did something tap on my window or door, did something grab my feet?

What did I just see in the Mirror in the bathroom so late in the night. Did something grab me again in my sleep? What are those dogs barking at there is nothing there?

Did fog just come threw the bottom part of the door? Why is my mind racing. Why are all the hairs on my arm standing. Why cant I shake these scary feelings? All tales we have passed on over the years for Halloween. What about the kids that ran in the old spooky house, did they ever make it out again?

Who was that, talking to me from beyond the grave? Why is smoke coming from that old cemetery on a clear night. All these things are there for us to see, its not just our imagination.

Here in Michigan, why can you only see and hear owls around this time of year? as if it was not spooky enough.
