Out of all the stars
and all the galaxies
One planet brights a beacon
Blood-red from killing
but on the surface
all is blue from living
Lonely Earth,
a haven in the midst
of darkness
Lit with omniscient lights
and dreams unforeseen
By an energy orb
of treacherous heat
Yet gravity bounds a window
into a patch of soul drift
Hidden amongst the stars,
turned to dust
