“Our Music” by Tina McFarlane

Your kiss upon my lips
Holds broken promises

Your tenderness lies
A trick of the body and the mind

I listen to your heart
I feel it beating
To the sound of another

As a writer, I have a dual nature, and love both the light and the dark. They each bring out a different side of me. Writing gives me the chance to explore both. Here, in this special place, you will find my darkness.

“The stereotypical country music song” by Joseph Vasquez

It seems like for the past few years my life has been like a stereotypical country music song; so much of my time and money has gone to my truck and my dogs (I don’t have anything against pure country, it’s one of the most sincere forms of music) My dogs are family, so I would do anything for them, and my truck is almost 13 years old, so there’s obviously going to be issues.

“Brown Eyed Girl in Autumn” by Paul Zinder

As she regales in the Moon light. The wind blows just right. A flicker of the right star light. The leaves blowing. The fall mist moving in. She is wonderful. A dream in a dark night.

She holds the air like nothing I have ever seen. She can dance in those stars like no one. She is the dark shadow of my darkest dreams. Those leaves falling, blowing in the night, it seems like it is all for her. Those lips deviant, her eyes full of passion guessing what I am already thinking.

Her gestures seem to lead me in. I only need to over come all those things, and move for it. Will the moon shine just right? Will the sun come up on time? Will all those magical things come together just in the nick of time? Only time will tell, and my dreams shall wonder till then. I will think of that girl, the Girl of Autumn.

So many factors have to come right, the last time I tried it rained all day, a last will ever happen for me, or any of us. Is love dead like the leaves at the end of Autumn? I hope not.

I grew up In Detroit MI, I Have also been to over 20 states in The US, Windsor Canada, Nice place . I would say my Favorite States I have visited are Louisville Kentucky , and Colorado Springs Colorado. I also Lived in Korea for 6 years. I was in a lot of places, I was in Combat prefer not to say were. I have lived in The Philippines and Guam , that was after I got out of the army. The army gave me a unique perspective in life, and how great we really have it in life seeing a lot of poor places all over the world. There are some great places in the world also and I learned there are a lot of things America could takes notes for and catch up with. I will never understand why we do not have more speed Trains in America for example. I think it would be great for tourism for example here its safe , fun and easy to use.
