It doesn’t take long to learn that you aren’t alone in Winterlake – the previous inhabitants’ creations are loose and roaming the hallways. From terrifying wheelchair-bound atrocities to chilling disemboweled crawlers, you’ll have to keep your wits about you at all times.
There are also darker threats at play – quite literally. Early on, you are warned not to let the shadows embrace you…

Abandoned by their relatives and with no one to care for them, these elderly dementia patients were subjected to awful experiments. Their unseeing eyes were removed and replaced by a tuning fork that relays the vibrations of even the slightest sound straight to their brain, and their long-clawed arms and wheelchair make them surprisingly agile.

Members of an ancient sect who were locked in the depths of the mansion. After many years their bodies have rotted inside their deteriorated anti-radiation suits. Their tormented souls continue to search for fresh blood to complete the ritual that will save them from death while alive. They carry a large ritual hammer with which they punish any member who has lost their faith.

Crazy doctors removed the digestive and vascular systems of this experiment and replaced them with acid to increase tolerance to radiation. Though relatively slow-moving, it can attack from a distance by spitting radioactive acid before following up with flesh-rending claws in close combat.

Due to the malignant radiation, some doctors went crazy and started experimenting on themselves. The slashers cut open their own skulls to implant the brains of intelligent inmates in a bid to increase their IQ. They removed their hands and replaced them with blades as sharp as scalpels.

Disfigured and bolted to the walls in a metal frame by the sect for leaving their post on shift, these experiments are equipped with enormous blades in place of hands.

While investigating the disappearance of twin girls at Winterlake – something terrible happens to Caroline Walker. Waking in the dead of night, naked in a bathtub and hooked up to some decrepit medical equipment, Caroline must fight for her life as she explores the halls of an abandoned Mansion.

Dark forces and unspeakable horrors will do everything in their power to stop Caroline getting to the truth. Use anything and everything that you can find to fight back against the evils that wait in the darkness.

Weapons

Thankfully Caroline has plenty of tools at her disposal to fend off attacks – a crowbar for close encounters, as well as a nail-gun for precision shots against oncoming terrors.
A useful back dash allows you to dodge enemy strikes or open up some distance between you and your attackers for versatile core combat.
